On Sunday, 16th June 2024, our parish community had the great honour of welcoming His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain, who presided over a beautiful and uplifting Divine Liturgy. The service was concelebrated by The Revd Presbyter Dr Constantine Litvinenko, our Priest-in-Charge, and The Revd Archdeacon Dr George Tsourous.
During the Liturgy, Fr Constantine was elevated to the rank of Oeconomos in recognition of his dedicated pastoral ministry and tireless service to the Church. In a further moment of joy and gratitude, Dr Sophia Litvinenko was awarded the Cross Medal of the Archdiocese for her outstanding contribution as Choir Director and her steadfast support of our liturgical life.
Following the Liturgy, a warm and festive reception brought together members of our community and offered a wonderful opportunity to connect with Archbishop Nikitas in a spirit of fellowship and thanksgiving.
The day was made even more special by the heartfelt participation of our Sunday School children, who presented His Eminence with beautiful artworks created in his honour.
A sincere thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration so meaningful and memorable!
We are deeply grateful to His Eminence for his visit, his inspiring words, and his continued support of our parish.
