This book grew out of conversations with catechumens preparing for baptism in the Orthodox Church. Much of its content emerged naturally through these conversations, in response to the questions they asked and the things they wanted to understand.

It does not attempt to address difficult or profound theological questions. Rather, it offers the reader a taste of Orthodox Christianity-an introduction to its faith, life, and spiritual vision.

The book will be useful not only for those preparing for baptism, but also for Orthodox Christians who wish to refresh their understanding of the foundations of the Orthodox faith and to reflect once again on the purpose and meaning of the Christian life.
